The Radhanagar beach holds a position of pride among the inhabitants of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Located in Havelock island, the Radhanagar beach is also known as Beach Number 7, as most of the beaches in the island are numbered. It is located merely seven kilometers away from Dolphin Yatra Niwas. The tranquility of the Radhanagar beach has to be experienced, in order to be believed. The turquoise blue waters of the sea, the clean, white sandy grains on the beach and a dense foliage to give you occasional shelter from the sun, will create memories you will not forget easily. |

Privacy and picturesque beauty has made the Radhanagar beach world's seventh best beach and the rating of being the best beach in Asia by the Time magazine in 2004.
The rich flora and fauna of Radhanagar beach has made it a favorite for the nature lovers. It gives you the perfect spot to run away from civilization. The water is packed with some of the most beautiful coral reefs here, lending the water a unique shade of turquoise blue. Besides the usual activities of sunbathing and swimming, the Radhanagar beach offers some of the best spots for snorkeling, with some beautiful reefs scoring the shore. Some of the shacks which line the beach also offer on rent masks and fins for snorkeling at a rate of Rs.50 each.
There are several ways to get to Radhanagar Beach. While walking is the most common mode, you can even take buses running regularly to the region, shared trucks or rent bikes and cycles to the beach. Another popular activity is island camping, run by Andaman Tourist Office, which rents pre-set tents at a range of Rs.150 to Rs.500. While occasional elephant rides offer a memorable experience, the sunsets on the Radhanagar beach is the most beautiful sight and not to be missed!
