Ramnagar beach promises endless kilometers of sands and sea, with the waves lapping at your feet and the feeling of being completely alone in the entire beach. |

Ramnagar beach is located in Diglipur island, the latter known for its distinct Bengali culture. But the island nevertheless boasts of a good cultural mix, with people speaking various combinations of Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Nicobarese and Telugu. It is a long but extremely picturesque journey to the Ramnagar beach. You need to get to Port Blair either through flights from Chennai and Kolkata, or take ship services to Port Blair from Kolkata, Chennai or Vishakapatnam. Once in Port Blair, you can reach Mayabunder by part road and part cruising. Ramnagar beach is located 15 kilometers away from Mayabunder and there are two daily boat services from Mayabunder to Ramnager beach. Or you can also come to Ramnagar beach directly from Port Blair by taking the ferry service, undertaken twice in a week. If coming directly, you will reach nearby destination of Aerial bay jetty.
Ramnagar beach is best known for its turtle nesting. The best time to witness the latter is from December to February. The best time to visit Ramnagar beach is from December to early April. The beach offers ample spots for some good snorkeling, surfing and swimming.
